Liroy

Liroy, born Piotr Marzec in 1971 in Kielce, Poland, is a pioneering figure in the Polish hip-hop scene and a multifaceted artist whose work spans music, activism, and politics. Emerging in the early 1990s, Liroy quickly established himself as one of the country’s most influential rappers with his groundbreaking debut album “Alboom” in 1995, which broke sales records and introduced hip-hop to mainstream Polish audiences. Known for his incisive lyrics and innovative productions, Liroy’s music tackles themes of social change, personal freedom, and political critique, making him both a cultural icon and a provocative voice.

Over the years, he released a number of successful albums, collaborating with both Polish and international artists. Beyond his music career, Liroy has engaged in various entrepreneurial and social initiatives, and since 2015, he has also been active in Polish politics, serving as a Member of Parliament and advocating for issues such as cannabis legalization and technological innovation.
