Linus Villa

Linus Villa is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the intersections between memory, place, and human emotion. Born in 1986 in Malmö, Sweden, Villa developed a keen interest in visual storytelling at an early age, drawing inspiration from the subtle poetry of everyday scenes. After completing formal studies at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Villa began exhibiting widely across Scandinavia and later throughout Europe, garnering attention for his evocative paintings and mixed-media installations.

His art, characterized by its atmospheric washes of color, tactile layers, and nuanced gestures, often invites viewers to reflect on themes of nostalgia, identity, and transience. Villa’s practice incorporates found materials and personal artifacts, enriching his canvases with intimate narratives that resonate on a universal scale.
