Liminal People

Liminal People is an experimental music and visual art collective formed in London in 2018, revolving around core members Ava Reyes and Jamil Adebayo. Their work is characterized by a fascination with spaces of transition, the tension between presence and absence, and the capacity for sound and image to evoke both memory and potential futures. Merging textured electronic production, found sounds, and live instrumentation, Liminal People’s music drifts between ambient washes and fractured beats, often accompanied by multimedia installations and video projections that draw on themes of urban alienation, migration, and the fragmentary nature of digital existence.

The duo’s debut album, “Threshold States,” garnered critical acclaim for its immersive sonic landscapes, leading to collaborations with performance artists and choreographers in venues across the UK and Europe. Liminal People continue to blur the boundaries between disciplines, inviting audiences into liminal zones where identity, history, and technology dissolve and re-form in new constellations.
