Lily Huu

Lily Huu is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of memory, identity, and the natural environment. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1987, Huu draws inspiration from her mixed Vietnamese-Canadian heritage, weaving elements of cultural symbolism and personal narrative into her paintings, installations, and photographic series. Since earning her BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2010, she has exhibited in group and solo shows across Canada, the United States, and Southeast Asia.

Huu’s distinctive style often incorporates layered textures and organic forms, reflecting her fascination with the fragility of human experience and the resilience of nature. Her pieces are included in several private and public collections, and she has been the recipient of grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the BC Arts Council. Through community-based projects and workshops, Huu is also dedicated to fostering creative engagement and dialogue around environmental and social issues.

She currently lives and works in Vancouver, where she continues to experiment with new media and collaborative practices.
