Laura Meester

Laura Meester is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the delicate intersection between memory, environment, and human experience. Born in 1985 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Meester developed an early passion for visual storytelling, which she honed through studies at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Drawing from both urban and natural landscapes, her practice encompasses painting, mixed media installations, and photography, often fusing organic textures with layered imagery to evoke a sense of introspective narrative.

Meester’s art is known for its evocative use of color and light, as well as its subtle inquiries into themes of belonging and transience. Over the past decade, her work has been exhibited across Europe and North America, garnering critical attention for its poetic exploration of personal and collective histories. Currently based in Amsterdam, Meester continues to investigate new methods of artistic expression, committed to blurring the boundaries between observation and imagination.
