Ladiez Drink Free

Ladiez Drink Free is an avant-garde performance art collective formed in Los Angeles in 2019 by multidisciplinary artists Jade Taylor and Carmen Ortiz. Blending sound art, spoken word, and immersive installation, the duo explores themes of femininity, nightlife, and societal expectation with a surrealist edge and a punk sensibility. Known for their energetic live sets, Ladiez Drink Free incorporates samples from pop culture, handmade instruments, and striking visual components to create subversive and humorous commentaries on gender and consumerism.

Their work has been showcased at alternative venues such as The Smell and Coaxial Arts Foundation, and they have collaborated with filmmakers, DJs, and poets across California’s experimental art scene.
