Krista Bourgeois is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the interplay between memory, landscape, and cultural identity. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Bourgeois draws inspiration from the region’s ever-shifting light and enigmatic forests, infusing her paintings, prints, and installations with a sense of atmospheric mystery. She holds a BFA from the University of Washington and an MFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art, where she developed her signature approach to layering pigment, texture, and found materials.
Exhibited in numerous galleries across the West Coast and featured in public art projects, Bourgeois’s work invites viewers to reflect on their own sense of place and belonging. Committed to environmental stewardship and community engagement, she frequently collaborates with local organizations and teaches workshops on sustainable art practices. Bourgeois currently lives and works in Seattle, continually inspired by the dialog between the natural environment and human experience.
