Krewella is an electronic dance music duo founded by sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf from Chicago, Illinois. Emerging in 2007 and breaking through globally with their 2012 Play Hard EP, Krewella became known for their blend of infectious melodies, powerful vocals, and genre-bending production, spanning EDM, dubstep, drum and bass, and pop. Their debut album, Get Wet, arrived in 2013 and debuted in the top ten of the US Billboard 200, propelled by singles like "Alive" and "Live for the Night.
