Kon Faber is a contemporary artist known for their evocative exploration of materiality, memory, and the subtle interplay of natural and urban environments. Born in Rotterdam in 1986, Faber’s early fascination with constructed spaces and found objects shaped a distinct visual vocabulary, blending assemblage, sculpture, and site-responsive installations. After studying Fine Art at the Willem de Kooning Academy, Faber embarked on a practice that traverses the thresholds between public and private, past and present, often incorporating salvaged materials and organic textures to create immersive, contemplative works.
Exhibiting internationally since 2012, Faber’s art has been featured in institutions such as the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam and the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, and has garnered attention for its thoughtful engagement with themes of home, transition, and the fragmented nature of memory. Deeply rooted in process and place, Faber continues to live and work in the Netherlands, drawing inspiration from the shifting landscapes and layered histories that define their environment.
