Kolko

Kolko is a contemporary visual artist whose work spans painting, mixed media, and site-specific installations. Born in the early 1980s, Kolko grew up in a multicultural urban center, drawing early inspiration from street art, graffiti, and the interplay of architecture with natural forms. Their formal education in fine arts included studies at prominent institutions in Europe and North America, where they cultivated a fascination with abstraction, urban landscapes, and the dynamics of memory within public spaces.

Kolko’s pieces are known for their layered textures, vibrant color palettes, and the subtle integration of found materials, resulting in works that evoke both chaos and cohesion. Over the past decade, Kolko has exhibited in solo and group shows across major cities including Berlin, New York, and São Paulo, gaining recognition for an ability to bridge personal narrative with collective experience. Kolko currently lives and works in Lisbon, where they continue to explore the evolving relationship between identity and place through both traditional and experimental media.
