Kai Alce’s journey through the world of music began in New York City and was cultivated in Detroit, where he became embedded in the city’s legendary house and techno scene. Deeply influenced by Detroit’s rich musical heritage, Kai learned from pioneers like Derrick May, Chez Damier, and Alton Miller during his formative years. He was a key member at the iconic Music Institute club, DJed at seminal venues, and absorbed the artistry of the Motor City’s soulful, dance-fueled culture.

Moving to Atlanta, Kai further cemented his reputation by developing the city’s evolving house music scene in the 2000s. He launched the seminal event series ‘DEEP’, bringing leading underground DJs to the South and nurturing new talent. As the founder of NDATL Muzik, Kai built a respected label that showcases his sophisticated style and features collaborations with artists such as Larry Heard, Andrés, and DJ Kemit.
