Julie Desire

Julie Desire is a multidisciplinary artist whose vibrant practice explores the intersection between memory, emotion, and the shifting landscapes of identity. Drawing inspiration from her multicultural upbringing and extensive travels, Desire works fluidly across painting, installation, and new media to investigate the ways personal and collective histories are fragmented and reassembled. Her evocative, color-saturated works reflect a keen sensitivity to the textures and rhythms of everyday life and often incorporate found materials, poetic fragments, and subtle references to folklore.
