Jules Pinkney

Jules Pinkney is a contemporary multimedia artist known for their vibrant fusion of digital and traditional mediums, blending illustration, collage, and experimental photography into evocative visual narratives. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Pinkney developed an early fascination with urban landscapes and the stories hidden within them, themes that subtly permeate their work. After earning a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art, Pinkney relocated to New York City, where they quickly became recognized in local art circles for their bold use of color, layered textures, and the seamless integration of personal and collective histories.

Pinkney’s practice explores identity, memory, and transformation, often incorporating found materials and family archive photos to bridge past and present. Their works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions at galleries such as the Drawing Center and Pioneer Works, as well as public installations throughout the U.S.

In addition to their visual art practice, Pinkney is committed to arts education and community engagement, frequently leading workshops and collaborative projects that empower emerging voices.
