John Silas

John Silas is a contemporary visual artist acclaimed for his evocative exploration of memory, identity, and the natural world. Born in 1988 in Richmond, Virginia, Silas developed a passion for art at a young age, inspired by the lush landscapes and cultural stories that surrounded him. After earning his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, he embarked on a multidisciplinary journey, merging painting, sculpture, and mixed media in works that interrogate both personal and collective histories.
