Jitwam is an Indian-born, London-based artist whose music traverses genres and continents, blending elements of jazz, soul, house, and psychedelia into a sound that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. Drawing from his experiences growing up in Assam, India, and later moving across Australia, New York, and the UK, Jitwam infuses his productions with a global sensibility, weaving together samples, live instrumentation, and inventive beats. Originally gaining attention with his 2017 debut album “ज़ितम सिहँ” (Self Titled), he quickly established himself within the modern underground scene with his equally acclaimed follow-up “Honeycomb,” released in 2019.
His signature approach combines dusty, crate-digging production with poetic storytelling, exploring themes of migration, love, and identity. Notably, Jitwam is also known for his work as a curator and DJ, co-founding the imprint The Jazz Diaries, which showcases boundary-pushing music from around the world. Continued touring and high-profile collaborations with artists such as Folamour, Scrimshire, and Kaidi Tatham have cemented Jitwam’s reputation as a dynamic and constantly evolving presence in contemporary music.
