Jay Wilson

Jay Wilson is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and digital media, exploring the emotive power of color, abstraction, and narrative. Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Wilson’s practice is informed by Midwestern landscapes and urban culture, infusing personal histories with universal themes of memory and transformation.

After studying Fine Arts at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Wilson began exhibiting locally before breaking onto the national stage with solo and group exhibitions in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Wilson’s work is recognized for its vivid palette, tactile surfaces, and layered compositions, which invite viewers to navigate between figuration and abstraction. Their pieces often reflect a fascination with the intersections of identity and place, employing both traditional and experimental processes.
