Jannis Maxim

Jannis Maxim is a contemporary visual artist whose dynamic practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation. Born in 1991 in Thessaloniki, Greece, Maxim’s early fascination with urban landscapes and the interplay of natural and constructed environments continues to inform his work. After graduating from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a degree in Fine Arts, he relocated to Berlin in 2016, immersing himself in the city’s vibrant art scene.

His art frequently explores the boundaries between order and chaos, utilizing bold color palettes and gestural mark-making to evoke emotional responses. Maxim has exhibited across Europe, with solo and group shows in Athens, Berlin, and Paris, and has participated in several international art fairs. His works are included in private and public collections, and he is celebrated for his innovative approach to texture and form.

Through ongoing experimentation, Jannis Maxim seeks to challenge perceptions of space and materiality, establishing himself as a distinctive voice in contemporary art.
