Jan Ketel

Jan Ketel is an interdisciplinary artist based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, whose evocative practice blends sculpture, installation, and digital media to explore the intersections of memory, environment, and the everyday. Drawing inspiration from urban landscapes and forgotten spaces, Ketel’s works reimagine mundane materials—such as discarded plastics, industrial metal, and repurposed wood—into contemplative assemblages that highlight cycles of decay and renewal. A graduate of the Willem de Kooning Academy, Ketel’s work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows across Europe, including notable venues in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Brussels.
