Ikonika, the moniker of London-based producer and DJ Sara Abdel-Hamid, has been a pioneering force in electronic music since emerging in the late 2000s. Signed to the influential Hyperdub label, she quickly gained acclaim with her 2008 debut single "Please" and her subsequent releases that fused elements of UK funky, grime, and R&B into punchy, melodic club tracks.
