HOOM

HOOM is a multidisciplinary artist collective founded in 2018, rooted in an exploration of memory, environment, and communal ritual. Originating from Rotterdam, Netherlands, HOOM’s members come from diverse backgrounds in visual art, sound design, and performance, converging their practices to create immersive installations and participatory experiences. Their body of work often weaves together recycled materials, field recordings, and video projections, reflecting an ongoing conversation between the organic and the technological.

HOOM has exhibited in prominent institutions across Europe, including De Appel, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, and the Venice Architecture Biennale, consistently pushing boundaries through collaborative research and site-responsive projects. Deeply inspired by questions of identity and ecology, HOOM’s projects invite viewers to reflect on their own roles within greater social and environmental systems, fostering spaces for collective contemplation and action.
