Hencke

Hencke is a multidisciplinary artist whose work traverses the boundaries of sculpture, installation, and mixed-media to explore themes of memory, transformation, and the intersection between the organic and the synthetic. Drawing inspiration from urban landscapes and natural forms, Hencke’s practice is marked by an experimental approach to materials, often incorporating found objects, recycled matter, and industrial components. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Hencke’s career spans over a decade and features numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries across Europe and North America.

Consistently interested in the ephemeral qualities of light, space, and texture, Hencke invites viewers to question the familiar and reconsider notions of permanence in a rapidly changing world. Their work is held in both private and institutional collections, and Hencke continues to push creative boundaries while residing and working between Berlin and Paris.
