Helly is a multidisciplinary artist known for blending vibrant color palettes with emotive abstraction, creating works that explore the intersection of identity, memory, and cultural narrative. Born in 1989 in Mumbai, India, Helly developed a passion for visual arts at a young age, drawing inspiration from the dynamic visual language of urban life and traditional Indian motifs. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Sir J.
J. School of Art, Helly pursued further studies in contemporary art practices in London, allowing for experimentation across painting, mixed media, and installation. Helly’s work often incorporates found materials and textural layering, inviting viewers to question their own perceptions and engage deeply with the stories woven into each piece.
The artist has exhibited in solo and group shows across Asia, Europe, and North America, gaining recognition for evocative pieces that traverse personal and collective experience. Outside the studio, Helly is an advocate for mental health awareness and community art initiatives, facilitating workshops that empower marginalized voices through creative expression.
