Hard Candy

Hard Candy is an innovative artistic duo comprised of Alex Lane and Morgan Reyes, whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, digital installations, and performance. Established in Brooklyn in 2017, Hard Candy’s collaborative work fuses vivid, hyper-saturated color palettes with forms and textures inspired by pop culture, consumerism, and the marginalia of everyday life. Their boundary-pushing art playfully interrogates the tension between surface pleasure and deeper meaning, inviting viewers to question the allure of mass-produced desire and the sweetness of nostalgia.

With backgrounds in both fine art and industrial design, Lane and Reyes combine technical precision with a spontaneous, improvisational approach, subverting familiar visual languages to create immersive environments and thought-provoking objects. Hard Candy’s work has been exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, and internationally, garnering recognition for its bold aesthetic, cheeky humor, and incisive social critique.
