Hansi

Hansi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and the natural world. Born in 1985, Hansi grew up in a multicultural household, an experience that deeply informs their vibrant and evocative visual language. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, Hansi moved to Berlin, where exposure to the city’s thriving art scene inspired new directions in both technique and subject matter.

Working across media including painting, sculpture, textiles, and digital installations, Hansi’s practice is characterized by an intuitive use of color and an ongoing investigation of personal and collective histories. Their pieces have been exhibited internationally, garnering critical praise for their ability to conjure both nostalgia and a sense of hopeful curiosity. Alongside a robust exhibition record, Hansi is also active as an educator, leading workshops that encourage community engagement through collaborative art-making.
