Habitat Profile Image

Habitat

Habitat is a contemporary artist collective known for their immersive installations and multi-disciplinary approach to artmaking. Established in the late 2010s, Habitat consists of a rotating group of visual artists, sound designers, and architects, all unified by a shared interest in exploring the interplay between environment, perception, and community. Their work frequently transforms conventional gallery spaces into participatory landscapes using found materials, projection mapping, and interactive audio.

Drawing inspiration from ecological systems, urban life, and mindfulness practices, Habitat’s projects invite audiences to contemplate the fragility and resilience of human-nature relationships. The collective has exhibited internationally, including shows at the Venice Biennale, Art Basel, and the Palais de Tokyo, and their large-scale public interventions have animated locations ranging from city parks to abandoned industrial sites. Habitat remains committed to artistic experimentation, environmental advocacy, and creating shared experiences that blur the boundaries between observer and participant.
