GIDEÖN is a London-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and activist whose musical journey spans over three decades. Beginning his career in the vibrant underground rave scene of the UK in the 1990s, GIDEÖN’s artistry draws inspiration from the intersection of house, techno, acid, and classic disco, infusing every set with a distinctive, genre-defying energy. He is widely recognized as one of the co-founders and musical directors of Block9 at Glastonbury Festival, where he has curated legendary late-night venues such as NYC Downlow and Genosys, known for their celebratory queer spirit and cutting-edge sounds.
GIDEÖN’s DJ sets are renowned for both technical finesse and deep, emotionally charged selections, earning him regular gigs at iconic venues like Panorama Bar, Fabric, and Berlin’s CSD on the Spree, as well as headline appearances at international festivals including Dekmantel, Love International, and Homobloc. As a committed activist, he is a vocal advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and grassroots political causes, using his platform and musical output to promote inclusivity and social change.
