Florenzo Hiäät

Florenzo Hiäät is a contemporary visual artist from Albania, celebrated for his innovative fusion of traditional Balkan motifs with modern abstraction. Born in Tirana in 1989, Hiäät developed a passion for art at an early age, inspired by his homeland’s rich tapestry of folklore, history, and shifting cultural landscapes. He studied fine arts at the University of Arts in Tirana and later honed his skills in mixed media and installation art during residencies across Europe, including Berlin and Vienna.

Hiäät’s work often explores themes of memory, migration, and the complexities of identity in post-communist societies, juxtaposing textured surfaces with bold color schemes and symbolic patterns. His evocative pieces have earned him critical acclaim, with exhibitions at prominent galleries such as the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana and participation in international art fairs in Italy, France, and Switzerland.
