Felix Da Housecat

Felix Da Housecat, born Felix Stallworth on August 27, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, is a pioneering American DJ, record producer, and remixer whose influence helped shape the sound of electronic music and house globally. Emerging from Chicago’s legendary house scene, Felix was inspired early on by his father, a saxophonist for the studio band Rotary Connection, and by the innovators of classic Chicago house music. As a teenager, Felix quickly began releasing tracks under various guises, but his breakthrough came in the late 1990s and early 2000s with the release of albums such as *Kittenz and Thee Glitz* (2001) and *Devin Dazzle & the Neon Fever* (2004), which incorporated electroclash and new wave influences into house’s rhythmic backbone.

His singles “Silver Screen Shower Scene” and “Madame Hollywood,” both collaborations with Miss Kittin, became club anthems, and helped popularize electroclash worldwide. Felix’s inventive sound fused Chicago house with elements of synth-pop, techno, and indie rock, earning him acclaim and a devoted following. Renowned for his high-energy DJ sets and eclectic tastes, Felix Da Housecat has played key festivals and clubs internationally, and remixed artists like Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Pet Shop Boys.

Nominated for two Grammy Awards, he remains an influential figure in dance music, consistently pushing boundaries through his own output and as a mentor to younger artists. Throughout his career, Felix has maintained a playful, genre-hopping style, and continues to be celebrated as one of electronic music’s true originals.
