Eva Myra May is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersections of memory, language, and the poetics of everyday life. Born in Vienna and based in Berlin, she draws upon her background in literature and sound studies to inform her immersive installations and ephemeral performances. May’s work employs found objects, archival materials, and experimental audio to construct contemplative spaces that invite viewers to reconsider notions of identity and temporality.
Her recent exhibitions include participatory projects at Kunsthaus Graz and the Hamburger Bahnhof, as well as collaborations with writers and musicians across Europe. May’s artistic research is driven by an ongoing fascination with translation—between mediums, cultures, and personal histories—seeking to reveal the invisible threads that connect disparate experiences.
