DJ XL-R8, born Alex Ramirez in Miami, Florida, has been igniting dance floors with his unique blend of high-energy beats and innovative soundscapes since 2010. Drawing inspiration from the multicultural tapestry of his hometown, DJ XL-R8 fuses elements of house, techno, Latin rhythms, and hip-hop, crafting sets that are as diverse as his background. A self-taught turntablist, XL-R8 first gained recognition in Miami’s underground club scene before quickly making his mark at renowned venues along the East Coast.

His breakout performance at Ultra Music Festival in 2015 catapulted him into the spotlight, earning him features on major electronic music blogs and collaborations with international artists. DJ XL-R8 is known for his electrifying live sets, often incorporating live remixing and crowd-driven improvisation. He has supported global acts such as Diplo, Nina Kraviz, and Black Coffee, and his signature track “Bassline Charger” reached the Beatport Top 10 in 2021.

With residencies in Las Vegas and Ibiza, DJ XL-R8 continues to push the boundaries of the electronic genre, releasing genre-bending EPs and headlining festivals worldwide.
