Gary Thompson, professionally known as DJ Gary, has been a dynamic force in the electronic music scene since the early 2000s. Born and raised in Manchester, England, Gary was influenced by the city’s vibrant nightlife and its rich history in dance music. After experimenting with music production as a teenager, he quickly built a reputation for his eclectic sets that blend house, techno, and breakbeats with unexpected classics.

DJ Gary’s career took off after winning a local DJ competition in 2004, landing him residencies at several top Manchester clubs. His signature style—marked by seamless transitions, uplifting melodies, and infectious rhythms—soon caught the attention of promoters across Europe. By 2010, Gary was regularly performing at international festivals, including Creamfields, Tomorrowland, and Sonar.
