Deatra

Deatra is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, installation, and digital media, drawing inspiration from urban landscapes, personal narratives, and the intersections of memory and identity. Born in Chicago and currently based in Atlanta, Deatra’s practice is deeply influenced by her experiences navigating multicultural environments and the stories woven throughout those communities. Her use of vibrant color palettes, layered textures, and recurring motifs—often referencing architecture and graffiti—invites viewers to find themselves within her explorations of place and belonging.
