Darshan Jesrani

Darshan Jesrani is a New York-based DJ, producer, and musician best known as one half of the genre-defining duo Metro Area alongside Morgan Geist. Emerging from Brooklyn's vibrant electronic music scene in the late 1990s, Jesrani quickly earned a reputation for his sophisticated and innovative approach to dance music. Through Metro Area, Jesrani helped usher in a new era of modern disco, blending deep house, boogie, and electro with live instrumentation and rich, analog production techniques.

Metro Area’s influential self-titled debut album, released in 2002, is widely regarded as a classic, with tracks such as “Miura” and “Caught Up” becoming essential staples in the sets of discerning DJs worldwide. Outside of Metro Area, Jesrani has maintained a dynamic career as a solo artist, remixing and releasing music under his own name. He founded his own label, Startree, as a platform for his explorations in modern dance music, regularly showcasing collaborations with other esteemed musicians.

Jesrani is also a passionate DJ, known for his eclectic and groove-heavy sets that draw from disco, house, and cosmic synth sounds. He has performed in renowned clubs and festivals across North America, Europe, and beyond.
