DARKSIDE

DARKSIDE is an avant-garde electronic music duo from the United States, formed in 2011 by multi-instrumentalist and composer Dave Harrington and electronic musician Nicolas Jaar. Fusing elements of electronica, psychedelic rock, ambient, and experimental soundscapes, DARKSIDE quickly carved out a distinct sonic identity marked by moody atmospheres, intricate production, and genre-defying collaborations. Their debut album, "Psychic" (2013), received critical acclaim for its immersive textures and seamless blend of organic and electronic instrumentation, while their live performances became renowned for their improvisational energy and hypnotic visuals.

After a brief hiatus, the duo reunited with the release of "Spiral" in 2021, further expanding their sonic palette and solidifying their reputation as innovators in contemporary music. Both Harrington and Jaar bring their own critically lauded solo projects and backgrounds in jazz, classical, and electronic music, which converge in DARKSIDE to create a unique, cerebral, and emotionally resonant soundscape that continues to influence the modern experimental music scene.
