Danny Rampling

Danny Rampling is a pioneering British DJ, music producer, and radio broadcaster widely celebrated as one of the founding figures of the UK’s acid house and rave movements. Born and raised in London, Rampling's passion for music emerged in his youth, fuelled by the city’s vibrant club scene. In the late 1980s, a transformative trip to Ibiza inspired him to bring the Balearic sound and spirit back to the UK, leading to the creation of the legendary Shoom nightclub in 1987.

Shoom became a cultural touchstone, introducing house music and the ethos of unity and freedom to British clubbers. Throughout his career, Rampling has headlined countless events, produced acclaimed tracks under his own name, and played an instrumental role in shaping dance music culture in the UK and beyond. He is also known for his authoritative presence as a radio host on BBC Radio 1, where he helped to popularize electronic music to wider audiences.
