Growing up in New York City, Krivit was immersed in music from an early age, thanks to his jazz musician father and classical pianist mother, which cultivated his extensive and eclectic musical knowledge. In the early 1970s, he began DJing at renowned clubs such as The Loft, The Paradise Garage, and the Roxy, quickly gaining a reputation for his expansive vinyl collection and seamless mixing skills.
