Cockwhore & Macho

Cockwhore & Macho are a Berlin-based performance and music duo known for their provocative blend of hedonism, subversive humor, and boundary-pushing club culture. Consisting of Paris-born artist Mademoiselle Lucy (Cockwhore) and Berlin local Daniel Roidl (Macho), the pair first met amidst the feverish nightlife of Berlin in the early 2010s. They quickly developed a shared aesthetic that fuses absurdist drag, DIY punk, and hardcore techno, creating performances and music that challenge gender norms and celebrate queer, sex-positive liberation.

Their live shows are infamous for their theatricality, featuring elements of performance art, costume, and explicit satire, all delivered with infectious energy. Over the years, Cockwhore & Macho have built an international reputation within queer club circuits, releasing tracks on underground labels and appearing at major events from Berlin’s iconic Berghain and KitKat Club to London and New York’s alternative spaces. Their work, both on stage and in the studio, continues to confront and reimagine queer identity in the 21st century, making them a vital presence in the world of experimental electronic music and contemporary queer art.
