Chenzo

Chenzo is a multidisciplinary artist whose evocative body of work seamlessly weaves together painting, digital media, and sculpture to explore themes of memory, transformation, and the interplay between the organic and the synthetic. Born in 1991 in New Haven, Connecticut, Chenzo was drawn to creative expression at an early age, finding inspiration in the vivid murals of their urban environment and the textures of nature. After earning a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2014, Chenzo embarked on a journey of artistic experimentation, exhibiting works in galleries across New England and beyond.

Chenzo’s distinct visual language is characterized by bold colors, layered textures, and surreal forms that challenge conventional boundaries between abstraction and figuration. Their recent projects delve into ideas of digital identity and interconnectedness, utilizing augmented reality and interactive installations to immerse viewers in multisensory experiences.
