Cath Boo

Cath Boo is a contemporary visual artist celebrated for her evocative explorations of memory, belonging, and the intimacy of everyday spaces. Born in 1984 in Melbourne, she developed a keen sensitivity to color and form at a young age, later nurturing her craft at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her paintings and installations often layer domestic motifs with abstract mark-making, inviting viewers to contemplate the shifting boundary between personal narrative and collective experience.

Boo’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia and internationally, earning critical recognition for its poignant balance of vulnerability and strength. Drawing inspiration from her lived experiences and the subtle poetry of transient moments, Boo continues to cultivate a body of work that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. She currently lives and works in Naarm/Melbourne, where she maintains an active studio practice and regularly engages in cross-disciplinary collaborations.
