Carlos Candela

Carlos Candela is a multidisciplinary artist whose evocative works bridge the realms of painting, sculpture, and installation. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1985, Candela was drawn to the pulsating energy of contemporary art from a young age, influenced by the vivid cultural scenes of his hometown. After earning a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, he honed his craft through residencies in Berlin and Mexico City, where the interplay of light, texture, and urban landscapes began to inform his signature visual language.

Candela’s practice explores themes of memory, transformation, and the ephemeral, often utilizing reclaimed materials and experimental techniques to investigate how objects and spaces carry personal and collective histories. His work has been exhibited internationally, with solo presentations in Buenos Aires, Madrid, and New York, as well as group shows and public art projects throughout Latin America and Europe.
