Callum Asa

Callum Asa is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the interplay between memory, place, and identity through evocative uses of found materials and immersive installations. Born in 1992 in Manchester, England, Asa developed an early fascination with the hidden stories embedded within everyday objects and urban landscapes. After receiving a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London, Asa’s practice evolved to incorporate elements of sound, sculpture, and community collaboration, often blurring the lines between personal narrative and collective experience.

Asa has exhibited widely across the UK and continental Europe, including solo exhibitions at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and group shows at Tate Modern and Palais de Tokyo. Asa’s deeply textured works invite viewers to reconsider connections to their environments, using subtle interventions and tactile assemblages to evoke a sense of nostalgia and rediscovery. Currently based in London, Asa continues to push the boundaries of experimental art while also engaging in arts education and public art initiatives aimed at fostering creative dialogue within underrepresented communities.
