Cajmere, born Curtis Jones in Chicago, Illinois, is a pioneering American electronic music producer and DJ renowned for his influential contributions to house and dance music. Rising to prominence in the early 1990s, Cajmere played a critical role in defining the Chicago house sound with his energetic, funk-laden productions and infectious grooves. He is best known for the hit single "Brighter Days" featuring Dajae and the classic club anthem "Percolator," both of which have become staples of dance floors worldwide.

Cajmere also records under the alias Green Velvet, through which he explores darker, techno-oriented beats characterized by quirky vocal narratives and innovative rhythms. As the founder of Cajual Records and Relief Records, he has provided a platform for emerging artists while championing the evolution of house music.
