Brennan is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and the ephemeral nature of human experience. Born in 1989 in Chicago, Brennan developed an early fascination with urban landscapes and personal histories, which became recurring themes in their paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media installations. After earning a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012, Brennan continued to refine their practice, drawing inspiration from both the raw textures of the city and the quiet introspection found in solitude.
Their art oscillates between abstraction and figuration, often incorporating found objects, archival materials, and layered imagery to evoke a sense of nostalgia and impermanence. Brennan’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the United States and internationally, including galleries in New York, Berlin, and Tokyo. Dedicated to challenging conventional narratives, Brennan continuously pushes the boundaries of form, medium, and concept, inviting viewers to engage with the subtle complexities of memory and perception.
Currently living and working in Brooklyn, Brennan remains committed to fostering dialogue within the arts community, participating in artist residencies and collaborative projects that expand the possibilities of contemporary creative practice.
