Billy Cocks

Billy Cocks is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and the natural world. Born in 1985 in Brighton, England, Cocks developed a passion for art at an early age, inspired by the windswept coastlines and vibrant culture of his hometown. He attended the University of the Arts London, where he earned a BA in Fine Art in 2007, followed by an MA in Contemporary Art Theory.

Cocks’s multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, sculpture, and installation, often combining found materials and traditional techniques to create evocative, layered compositions. His works have been exhibited widely across the UK and Europe in galleries such as Tate St Ives, Saatchi Gallery, and the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Cocks has garnered a loyal following for his immersive installations and nuanced, introspective approach, gaining recognition through residencies and critical acclaim in international art publications.
