BEIGE is an interdisciplinary artist collective formed in 2019, based between Los Angeles and Berlin. The group’s practice is rooted in exploring the everyday poetics of liminality through a blend of sculpture, installation, sound, and community-based projects. BEIGE’s work often centers around overlooked materials—secondhand textiles, modular lighting elements, recorded conversations—and forges new social meanings through participatory interventions and multimedia displays.
Their installations invite viewers to navigate ambiguous spaces and reconsider boundaries between public and private, utility and ornamentation. The collective draws inspiration from urban landscapes, muted color palettes, and the communal labor of making, consistently blurring the lines between the individual and the collective act of creation. BEIGE has exhibited at galleries and alternative spaces throughout the United States and Europe; their projects have been featured in Artforum, Frieze, and Hyperallergic.
The group is recognized for their commitment to fostering accessibility and dialogue across diverse audiences, sustaining a practice that is as much about process and exchange as about the finished artwork.
