Bear Winder

Bear Winder is an innovative DJ and producer known for blending deep house, techno, and experimental electronic sounds into immersive, story-driven sets. Hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, Bear Winder began his musical journey as a guitarist in local rock bands before discovering the world of digital music production. Inspired by the vibrant underground scenes of Berlin and Detroit, he quickly honed his skills behind the decks, earning a reputation for seamless mixing and adventurous track selection.

After relocating to Brooklyn in 2018, Bear emerged as a staple in warehouse parties and late-night venues, sharing stages with renowned acts such as Honey Dijon, Octo Octa, and Charlotte de Witte. His signature sets feature heavy basslines, atmospheric textures, and unexpected transitions, designed to transport listeners to new sonic landscapes while keeping the dance floor pulsing late into the night. Bear Winder’s debut EP, *Night Drift* (2022), received critical praise for its intricate production and emotional depth, leading to invitations to play at notable festivals like Movement Detroit and Lightning in a Bottle.

As co-founder of the event collective “Submerge,” he is dedicated to fostering inclusive spaces for experimental dance music and emerging talent. With a loyal following and a fast-growing discography, Bear Winder continues to challenge genre boundaries, pushing electronic music into uncharted territory while remaining rooted in the communal spirit of the dance floor.
