Bakermat, born Lodewijk Fluttert in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is a pioneering DJ, producer, and musician renowned for blending deep house with jazz, soul, and pop influences to create his own distinct sound. Emerging onto the scene in the early 2010s, Bakermat quickly captured international attention with his breakout single "Vandaag," which sampled Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech and introduced his signature use of live instruments, particularly the saxophone, into electronic music.
