BadBadNotGood is a Canadian instrumental group formed in 2010 in Toronto, Ontario. Consisting of members Matthew Tavares (keyboards), Chester Hansen (bass), Alexander Sowinski (drums), and later Leland Whitty (woodwinds, guitar), the group initially gained attention for their jazz-infused interpretations of hip-hop tracks by artists such as Odd Future, MF DOOM, and J Dilla. Their self-released debut album attracted a global cult following and led to collaborations with high-profile artists including Tyler, The Creator, Ghostface Killah, and Kaytranada.

Distinguished for their ability to effortlessly blend jazz, hip-hop, electronic, and soul influences, BadBadNotGood became standard-bearers for a new generation of genre-bending musicians. Their discography features critically acclaimed albums such as "III" (2014), "Sour Soul" (2015) with Ghostface Killah, and "IV" (2016), which showcased their evolution as composers and performers.
