Anzar

Anzar is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation, engaging with themes of memory, identity, and the interplay between natural and constructed environments. Born in 1992 in Casablanca, Morocco, Anzar developed an early fascination with visual storytelling while navigating the rich cultural tapestry of North Africa. After studying Fine Arts at École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Casablanca and later pursuing advanced studies in Paris, Anzar’s work evolved to bridge traditional Moroccan motifs with contemporary forms, resulting in a style characterized by bold textures, intricate layering, and vibrant color palettes.

Through solo and group exhibitions across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, Anzar has gained recognition for evocative pieces that invite viewers to reconsider the boundaries between past and present. Drawing inspiration from personal heritage, urban landscapes, and collective memory, Anzar continues to explore new media and collaborative projects, challenging conventional notions of cultural identity and artistic expression.
