Andrew Sharpe is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and digital media, exploring the intersections of memory, environment, and communal identity. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Sharpe drew early inspiration from the urban landscapes of his hometown and the vibrant multicultural fabric of the city. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at OCAD University, he developed a visual language that fuses abstract expressionism with motifs drawn from both nature and urban decay.
Sharpe’s practice is characterized by dynamic color palettes, textured surfaces, and an intuitive approach to form, often reflecting narratives of transformation and resilience. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across Canada and internationally, and he has participated in several artist residencies, collaborating with community organizations to produce site-specific installations. Through his art, Sharpe seeks to foster dialogue about the ways individual and collective experiences shape our perceptions of place and belonging.
